Holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To celebrate the 15,000 blog visitor. I am going to take a 2-hour nap.
So my holidays have been fabulous, I have celebrated every moment and lived each day to its fullest. I will be updating the blog periodically in the coming week so here is what has happened in short, since my last post.
So damn cold I froze the mop. Ice cold.

When you go to Westport, you should really think about how funny your shirt is going to be. Your $18 Hollister purchase might not be everything that its cracked up to be. Especially when you and another person whom you don't know end up ordering drinks at the bar at the exact same time. And then Luke capitalizes with camera in hand.

Happy Holiday Inn.

So far my Holiday's have consisted of one good restaurant(1924 Main), one good night out(Harpo's), two good nights sleep(8 hours of sleep), one good outing(Dave and Buster's, where I proceeded to run the machine out of tickets in the trivia game. And where the African American teacher next to me, didn't know where MLK Jr. was assassinated. No big deal. So don't say I'm not cultured.)

Today is going to be relaxing and wrapping presents followed by an evening out.

Tomorrow I head to Arrowhead in the morning and watch the Chiefs and Chargers do battle.

Dream of a white Christmas.

So I slept 9 hours last night. Officially the best sleep of my life. I feel like a 23 year old in a 23 year olds body. What?

It is snowing just hard enough that I am able to make incredible snow balls. I'm talking borderline cylindrical weaponry.

Today marks the first weekend day I have been in Kansas City in 3.2 months. Feels great. Oversize shorts and oversize sweatshirts.

Christmas shopping commences today. And by commence, I mean starts/ends.

Christmas parties galore this weekend, have fun all.

Washing ton dee see

So D.C. is sweet. Bad drivers, good weather, they get some good horn honkage going on out here.

So I am back in Kansas City Tuesday and it will be the best. I am there until Christmas, or as my shezule permits. Hope to get to go to parties and wear Christmas sweaters and drink hot cider.

Vegas Part One

This is the first section of a 2-part series of my Vegas trip, I am currently in Washington D.C. about 4 blocks from the Capital. Expect beautiful snow laden monument pictures tomorrow.

Friday night: $180 worth of gambling, food, booze, tips, etc
Saturday morning: $4 worth of Naked Juice
$2.50 worth of coffee
$1030 worth of winnings from “Wheel-of-Fortune”

So I asked her to meet me at the Little White Wedding Chapel at midnight, but she never showed up.

Steve + 40 oz. + Buffalo Chicken Sandwich + Nice Restaurant = Priceless.

Here is the light show in "downtown" Vegas. Very cool, if I was 6 or 95. And if they hadn't played Tutti Frutti I probably would have cussed at a moderate level.

Attilio The Hun.

So I went to Attilio's Kitchen last night. Had the best shrimp/awesome/goodness pasta last night. Found out the place was owned by Joe Pesci's cousin, but that doesn't mean anything because the food was amazing. Back at the hotel had some ice cream and then watched random sporting events on TV. Drove the Jeep through New Jersey for an hour and realize every town here runs together.

So about 8 hours until my plane leaves for the town that won't let Luke sleep.

New Jersey to Las Vegas

First thing I need you to do: Click on the map of site visitors thing on the right. It will show you a sweet Google map of where you are at that exact second. No pop-ups, just Google map. Cool.
Then once you go there, hit back and read my shit.

So I am working at a client site in New Jersey and these people are funny. They actually laugh from their bellies and have funny smiles, not trying to hide the lipstick on their teeth. They interrupt you and tend to ramble on when telling stories. That being said I would like to take this time to thank the Fairfield Inn for giving me a gymnasium of a room. I feel like I should break out a raquetball raquet and goggles and play a few games.

So tomorrow at noon I am done with work until next Tuesday. I will fly from Vegas to KC on Tuesday and then go to DC for a week.

This being said I have approximately, no exactly, 98 hours in Las Vegas starting tomorrow at 9 p.m. (Thank you to Bank of America for never charging me withdrawal fees.) Now as many of my avid readers, friends, familia, mistresses know I have a penchant for gambling. Not just gambling, but betting. I love it. I can control it, maintain an income, and avidly enjoy it. After saying that, I now can justify taking my past 2-weeks salary and "letting it ride". I won't actually be betting that much, I will probably only bet enough as to allow myself and others to receive free drinks. I will also have pictures galore from this excursion. (And by galore, I mean "of my naked butt")

Alright so this is probably my last post until Saturday sometime. Please click on the link to see where the past 100 people have logged on from, I want to see who's looking at this online-super-secret diary I have.

I also throw out big-ups to Kate and Andy Gold for trying to get knocked up. Hope it works out and I hope I get to be a relative.

Old note to self

1st note to self: Don’t try to open cream on a plane with your teeth, while holding coffee and trying to balance your laptop on your lap/tray table.

2nd note to self: Don’t sit by the guy that shakes his leg the whole flight and looks like he has to pee, which eventually makes you have to pee.

3rd note to self: If you are feeling super indulgent before bedtime and you are still quasi-drunk/tipsy/tired/euphoric, don’t eat a half bag of kettle cooked chips before you fall asleep. Although they tasted like the best thing to ever hit your tongue, like a cool winter breeze when you go outside to get the paper and don’t wear shoes and it’s really cold but it feels good and you take that breath of fresh air, like that…yeah. But in the morning and you are afraid you overslept because the time on the alarm is right but you realize that they forgot to set the clock back an hour and you realize this all week but are to technologically challenged to change it. Plus add that BBQ taste from last night, add 6 hours of night breath/Country Inn and Suites air/cigar/Red bull/Vodka/Honey Brown. That is what I had to deal with. Oh I forgot to mention, it was 5:00 in the morning. Now if it wasn’t for the invention of coffee I would’ve probably conceded and just died. But after my 8 oz. Styrofoam pure-“Columbian”-concoction I am back to normal. And then it hits you. Thanksgiving break begins now.

Abe Fu#&ing Lincoln

So last night was officially the best. Ben Bratsche and Lucas Schnoebelen ventured out for a night on the town of Gettysburg. Now if you are familiar(as I was) with Gettysburg's history, Google it. I got the pleasure of hearing it first-hand from people dressed like civil-war soldiers, infantry, etc. Women dressed the part too.

So I will now show the pictures. Pictures say about as much as words do. But these pictures are quasi-ridiculous.


The William Walker house. Owned and operated by Stan and Judy McGee. If you ever want endless food, spirits, singing go here on November 19th, but remember to take your shoes off at the door. Screw "wedding crashers", new fad, "civil war re-enactment party crashers."


And then there was Judy McGee. Stan and Judy live in the house. Deer bologna.

This guy was 162 years old if my memory serves me correctly. (Note: As the Stan and Judy McGee house we gathered around a piano and sang songs. I would like to that my elementary music teacher Mrs. Harris for making me learn all 6 verses of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. )

This is the exact location where Abe dropped the address bomb 142 years ago. 2.5 minutes of Abe, the guy before him spoke for 2.5 hours and no one remembers what he said, that seemed to be the case in Gettysburg. The picture on the left is mine, on the right is someone elses, same angle, kind of creepy. Thanks Abe. Ben and I cheers' you.



They buried the men at cemetary at the cost of $1 a person. Whether they knew who they were or not.


Gettysburg National Cemetary. This is an illumunation of the cemetary on the eve of the anniversary of the day Lincoln gave his address 142 years beefore. The creepy part, it was a bit windy and not a single one of the paper bags caught on fire. Very awesome experience, guy playing TAPS in the cool night air. Amazing sight. The lumaniries are placed in front of each grave.




Yes that is a rum-soaked cigar I bought for $1 from a soldier in a tent while I was holding a rifle. What.

This guy couldn't play it, that's why I'm laughing, sounded like a cow dying and farting simultaneously.
