Longest weekend ever.

Today is Tuesday. Remind me of this every 4 hours.

I am officially the tiredest person ever today. Enough said.

Went to Iowa for my friend Trent's Pre-wedding crazy party.

Saturday we went boating at the Coralville Reservoir, comparable to Smithville Lake, only it's 5 hours away.

Saturday night we went out in Downtown Iowa City. Apparently my whole graduating class still lives in Iowa City. Stayed at my Mom's house.

Sunday, went golfing at Jones Park in CR. Then went out on the Coors Light Party Bus (A school bus, painted white, with Coors Light on the side.) Had a blast.

Went to Taco John's in Newton, Iowa yesterday.

Adam brushed his teeth at Taco John's.

Gave them my pen name for my order and came to the gripping conclusion
that Newton people must not have a hispanic population. Or else they are vowel happy.

Smoking Guns go for win number 1 tonight. We will give it our all.

I would like to thank all people involved in making this weekend extremely enjoyable.

Random thought of the day: On the way to work today, I enjoyed my sunrise, like normal, also had the tunes blaring. The song, "Midnight Train to Georgia" came on. This got me thinking, who takes trains to Georgia in the first place, secondly, who takes trains to Georgia at mid-night.

Inside the Park.

So I hit an inside the park home run this past evening. It was awesome and this moment will probably be my crowning sporting achievement for the year.

Got a new work cell phone

Might do a little bit of this. This weekend.

Only with less trucks and more KLR's and more lakes.

My powerball ticket didn't win, even though the first 2 numbers
were my birthday. I guess the guy at the store was wrong,
he said, "Dat right der, you gots yourself a winner."

If you are ever bored go to http://www.apple.com/trailers - this is
where you'll find all the new releases. Watch the March of the Penguins.

Have a great Thursday world.
Send me some random news when you get a chance.

My father.

Saw the final installment of Star Wars last night, liked it a lot.

Shot a 50 yesterday at Tiffany. Tied my personal best at the course.

Another Smoking Guns battle tonight. Let's get some fans out there. 7:30 Happy Rock.

Morning breath killer: Grapefruit Juice.

Hangover killer: Grapefruit juice swallowing.

Going to watch the battle of the Missouri baseball teams tonight. Going with 3 middle-aged men who only talk about lawns and weather. And how much the Royals suck.

Had a poppy seed bagel this morning so I hope they don't pull any random drug tests.

Random fact of the day:
In the Lake MacBride Classic 10K/5K in Solon, IA on May 12, 2001,
Lori Taghon of Sigourney
got 34th place with a time of 59:30:00.

Smokin' Guns ain't so Smokin'

Basically our team is just a bunch of guys who are put on a field to build other self-worth. I would compare how bad our team sucks, to drinking beer through a straw. It looks weird, you can do it OK but in the end it just doesn't seem right. Bad analogy.
We need this guy

Yes, that's Bo Jackson. Who else would it be?

And we need a mascot.

The dog, not the guy.

If you call me at 816-885-4098 my cell phone plays Turn the Page by Bob Seger.

Smoking Guns: Game 5

So tonight we will be attempting to do what our slow-pitch softball team has ever done before..........................win.

Rub.
We are basically the worst group of athletes ever created. We do have cool hats and uniforms.

I got a new work cell phone with a lot of gadgets, so I might discontinue my old faithful. My new number is 816-885-4098.

Mike Havekost and I won our golf match yesterday. We won all 9-holes so it was pretty sweet.

Friday was awesome, birthday party was fun.

Saturday, Trent moved, I broke my back.

Sunday: Royals win, got to sit in the Stadium Club. It was awesome.

Here is a picture I didn't take.

Golf tonight, weather is great.

The whole town will be a mess tomorrow with the bridge closing. I'm just going to walk to work.

New phrase, "Pull a Flintstone" - stop a speeding car by using your bare feet as the brakes.

Dang.

Rap's MVP.

Rain. Flash Floods.

This is on my way to work.

I made it here, with 16-wheelers spitting rain on where my bug shield should be, Metro's flying by me in the slow lane, with the guy smoking a cigarette talking on his Zach Morris phone.

Birthday Party of the Millennium tonight. Best Poker Player in Kansas City Andy Gold is another year older. Here is a picture of Andy at Harrah's.

Go all-in Andy.

I would just like to say "Hi" on here to my girlfriend, Liz. You are my favorite Liz. Have fun tonight.

Back to work.

UPDATED.

A string walks into a bar with a few friends and orders a beer.
The bartender says, "I'm sorry, but we don't serve strings here."
The string walks away a little upset and sits down with his friends.
A few minutes later he goes back to the bar and orders a beer.
The bartender, looking a little exasperated, says, "I'm sorry, we don't serve strings here."
So the string goes back to his table.
Then he gets an idea. He ties himself in a loop and messes up the top of his hair.
Then he walks back up to the bar and orders a beer.
The bartender squints at him and says, "Hey, aren't you a string?"
And the string says, "Nope, I'm a frayed knot.

Pull this thread as I walk away....

Did a whole lot at work yesterday. I mean, I'm telling you. A lot. A whole lot. Lots. Lot, lot, lot.

Rained cats and dogs here, splashed all over the place.

For my random followers that asked about my car, here is my blue car:

Only mine will soon have a bug deflector and poor bugs won't know what to do.
Look at those 17" shoes. Damn.

Happy Rocked.

33-7. Looks like part of a locker combination, but it's really the score of our game last night. We really suck. We can transform healthcare, but we can't transform softball.

Here is where I work:

It is going to rain today, boo, rain, boo.

I got a part for my bumper and a bug deflector, so my car is officially sweet.

One of the Greatest Women Ever!

My beloved Grandmother.

For details on her birthday celebration click here,

I hope when I'm eighty people still want to take my picture.

Better Hurry cuz it's going fast.....

So I'm driving to work today and my car has a consistent shield of moisture on it. Which is convenient when I am driving with a bunch of coffee-spillin, cell-phone blabbin' idiots. I finally just rolled all my windows down and got air dried on the way here.

Golf was sweet yesterday, weather was nice, sun was out. My partner was a foot from a hole-in-one.

Smoking Guns tackle game 3 tonight. We're going to go in fighting and come out with smiles on our faces.

So it's like 80 degrees this morning and I'm in my office watching little white petals fall off a tree onto my car.

New Favorite Song: Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

The Edmund Fitzgerald.

White T-shirts.

Weekend was very relaxing. Friday played poker, did extremely well.

Saturday went to the lake and had a good 'ole time on the boat. Dad pushed me in and I almost impaled myself with a tree.

Sunday read all day and finished The Brethren, moving on to a Malcolm Gladwell book.

So I realized this morning that Kansas City radio personalities need more to do/ talk about. One guy's name is "Big" Something, then there is a woman with a deep voice that laughs at everything everyone says, then there is another guy named after an animal, example, Bobcat or Tiger.

Golfing today, first round of league play. Hopefully my Vijay-esque swing will prevail. Smoking Guns for lunch.

Random Picture of the Day:

This is the picture that was in one of my favorite bar's in Spain.
I own a gi-normous copy of it now. It's awesome. Elephants are awesome.

I will be in Iowa City June 10th-(maybe) 13th.

A Liger is Real

Abuelos, On the Border, then to Soyland's spot, Tomfooleries.

Abuelos: A lot of hot food and guac, margaritas, sangria.
On The Border: Outside tent party, almost got my eye put out by a flying Megadeth CD, proceeded to put stickers on Matt.
Tomfooleries: Picked up John from the airport, went to Tomfooleries, proceeded to sing Tiny Dancer with the band at the top of my lungs. Hold me closer, Tiny Dancer.....closer.

Worked out at the Cerner gym yesterday. Feels like that time of the month for me, my boobies are sore now. Then I played basketball and missed a lot of shots. Then went to Kauffman to haggle for cheaper Royals/ Red Sox tickets, got 500 for $7 a pop. Not bad.

Playing the Poker tonight.

Don't forget to wish your Mom's a Happy Mother's Day on Sunday. Don't think flowers will cover you. Do something nice for her. Send her a framed picture or something.

Also, a liger is real. Here is a picture.

Burning Ring of Fire.

Working for the man again today.

Last night had a Joe Carter-esque moment, in our first game had a walk-off(double) to win the game, it was sweet. But I guess that just what happens when the ball is in a direct line with the sun and when it reaches the plate and you can't see it and you smack it and it feels like you're hitting the sun. ?.

Second game we run-ruled 'em and then they whined and I just thought about how the opposing catcher looked like Bob Seger and wondered why he kept calling me by my name.

Best bagel ever today. However,

h&h= the best.

Cinco de Mayo, despues de mi dia de trabajo extensivo, probablemente me voy a "On The Border" o "Margaritas" o "Una restaurante Mexicana" para celebrar este dia. Comiendo guacomole y bebiendo algunas bebidas Mexicanas. No voy a perder este dia en historia. Un celebracion de independencia.

Also send an email to my buddy Dave, dkahl@trane.com, it's his birthday.

Have a health thing at 11, get to ride on the bike and have someone tell me how I look, hopefully i can sweat and wear an oxygen mask and be in a Gatorade commercial.

Be like Luke.

Today is 5.5.5 Whoa.

Out of the Office.

I'm not in today. I'm resting for softball. Ha.
Here is a picture of two random guys.

Don't know who these guys are.

Listen to more Seger.

51 and Windy.

Work went by and golf went great. Shot a 51 in the hammering wind, I don't know if hammering is a good word to use to describe wind, but it was hammering. Trent, 40 days away from marraige, shot a cool 63......on 9 holes. But it is a Senior PGA event course and we do play from the blue tees. I feel like Tin Cup at times on the tee box.

I am eating an everything bagel right now. I don't understand what falls under the category "everything". I think its everything that can fall off and go everywhere. If it sticks to the bagel, its no good. Also, I think yogurt and granola are meant to be together, like peanut butter and jelly or Roy and that other lion tamer guy.

Smoking Guns go for there first win ever, tonight. With our right fielder not being able to throw the ball, I think I might just play a way deep first base. Hopefully the bats will turn on and we can put up some runs.

www.smokingunsbbq.com

Click on there link to buy stuff (meat, rub, hats) since they sponsor our team.

Also had an idea for their rub. If they called it 1-off. Then it would be funny.

Straight Flush.

Coming into the weekend, riding high because of my Queen-high, straight flush. Played golf like it was my last weekend on earth. Played at Tiffany on Saturday and had a mediocre round. Sunday at Painted Hills in 20 mph wind and still played bogey golf. League play tonight, hopefully I can stay under 50.

Waiting for Ding to give me a cheap flight to Jacksonville.

McQueen.
